Сегодня утром стало известно о том, что на нашей хостинговой площадке, дислоцированной в Северо-Восточной Пенсильвании (США) заблокирован аккаунт одного из наших клиентов. Без предупреждения и без каких-либо внятных разъяснений со стороны администрации датацентра.
Конечно же, мы очень удивились. Ведь ни Договор, ни Правила на «Веб-Арсенале» не нарушали. Антиамериканской пропагандой не злоупотребляли… Запас трафика не исчерпан. Деньги уплачены авансом… В чём же дело?..
В ходе продолжительного и довольно угрюмого разбирательства нам сообщили, что ресурсы, потребляемые нашим клиентом, на целых 200% превышают все разумные нормативы и “создают серьёзные проблемы для нормального функционирования сервиса”.
Вместо ответа на вопрос о каких конкретно “нормативах” идёт речь и когда будет разблокирован аккаунт, нам очень любезно (ну, в точности как учил великий Дейл Карнеги) и чисто с американским цинизмом предложили статус VIP-партнёра. Естественно, совсем недорого. И конечно же, с хорошей скидкой… То есть, или мы с вами теперь будем дружить по-особенному (за ваши же деньги) или мы теперь ничего не сможем гарантировать…
Короче говоря, пятница, короткий день, на часах 17-45, время пить пиво. Надо что-то решать. Америка далеко. Клиенты - близко… Деньги есть. Но зачем их отдавать каким-то американским ганстерам?..

Дирекцией Киевского виртуального завода «Веб-Арсенал» принято решение о закрытии всех филиалов серверной системы EuroWeber, расположенных на территории США. Филиалы подлежат закрытию до 1 февраля 2007 года. Хост-бригаде завода, до указанного срока - подготовить, организовать и выполнить безопасную эвакуацию сайтов на действующие хост-сервера Украины, России и Германии.

По своим техническим параметрам хостинги бывают очень разными, потому что предназначены для решения достаточно широкого спектра задач. И то, что хорошо для сайта-визитки - то плохо для интернет-магазина, а то, что полностью подходит для веб-портала, может оказаться дорогостоящим излишеством для персонального блога. Так-что дело не в технике. Дело в человеческих отношениях. И в этом плане лучше всего, конечно же, у себя дома или у родни. Ну, в крайнем случае, у нормальных соседей. А хостинг в США - это ни то, ни другое, ни третье…
